The New Suit!!
from the backside.....
Nacho Libre style!

He told us the suit is awesome.
Much thanks to our angel friend!!!  :)

His black bike and helmet
(I could kiss that helmet for saving his life)

New Zealand clouds.
Elder Tibbitts told us the clouds look like this every day when it's not raining.

Breakfast

Dinner

A catholic church in the area

Elder Tibbitts said he would like to live in a house like this one in NZ some day

The hills Elder Tibbitts and Elder Tascon bike up and down every day.  He did happen to mention (again) how big his legs are getting....

This is a couch they found outside exercising one day.  Someone had left it on the side of the road, so they brought it back to their flat, washed all the covers to the cushions and said it is awesome.

Such frugal missionaries  :)

Nike shoes....
Apparently Nike shoes are really rare in New Zealand and this
one had been lying in the road for quite awhile.
Elder Tibbitts said it was the size of Abbie's foot.

...so he brought it home and hung it on the wall  :)

Working with local members....
using a sign-up sheet to help the work progress

"It has been raining like crazy here for the past few days. Pacific storms are a lot different than storms at home. The rain here isn't as heavy. More like water falls but the actual rain droplets are tiny. It's like a mist. It mists all the time. Sometimes so hard that we ride for 50 yards and we are soaked through and through."

standing in the rain...
Such a cute missionary boy  :)

"This is a Scottish man we visit every night for fifteen minutes. His adopted son is on a mission in
Papa New Guinea and comes home this week.
He's a funny old fellow."

Update on Ricky:
(the Maori man they found on the streets with a back injury)
"He's doing awesome!  His back is almost totally healed."

"We have been doing awesome in teaching investigators and people in the street, and one thing we have struggled heavily in, is involving members in the work we do. We've been trying to incorporate members to aid us in teaching, and to help us find and maintain potential investigators, but many times the members aren't too willing to help. This being the case, I wish I would have done a better job of helping the missionaries at home find people to teach.
Or helping the ward missionaries find people to teach.

We are currently teaching 8 progressing investigators (progressing toward baptism) and one of them is getting baptized this Saturday.  His name is Steve and he truly has become converted. He has really changed his entire lifestyle.

A lot of polynesians here adore people who can play ball really well. So when there are a bunch of gangsters playing some basketball we always ride up to them. And I always say, 'If I win we have a lesson for fifteen minutes, sound good?' and I always put some old school whoopin' on them and then we get a lesson with them. It's awesome.

The ice cream here is awesome!!!!  The people here are awesome!!  Our flat is becoming a home and I think I'm going to buy a rugby ball today!! :) "
